Wasn't it a beautiful day? We hope that you were able to get outside, even for a little while, to enjoy the cooler weather and sunshine today. Remember to take a break tomorrow when you can - just step away from what you're doing for a few minutes, and take long, smooth breaths, and stretch our your hands, arms, neck, back, legs, whatever needs some extra care.
You've been on our minds a lot lately, and we've created some new online offerings to give you more customized options for practice.
Yoga for Bigger Bodies Series (Online)
Fridays, April 17 - May 8, 12:00 - 1:00 PM
EveryBody can practice and benefit from yoga, it's just a matter of finding the right practice! If you have a bigger body and you've practiced yoga before, you've probably found many common yoga poses are inaccessible and/or ineffective. In each session of this series, Zelinda will guide you through a 50 minute accessible yoga practice, then allow 10 minutes for discussion. The discussion portion can include workshopping specific postures and Q&A related to yoga. ($52)
Prenatal Yoga Series (Online)
Saturdays, April 18 - May 9, 10:30 - 11:45 AM
The Prenatal Series is a 4 week series focused on promoting wellness for the mother-to-be. Gentle, pregnancy-appropriate asanas (yoga poses) help you improve your strength and flexibility, manage aches, pains, and other potential side effects of pregnancy, and prepare your body for childbirth. Breathing and relaxation practices help you optimize your and your baby’s overall wellness and improve your bonding. Prenatal Yoga is appropriate for women in all stages of pregnancy and is appropriate for women who are new to yoga. ($60)
Yoga for Runners & Walkers Series (Online)
Sundays, April 19 - May 10, 4:00 - 5:00 PM
A customized and consistent yoga practice is a tremendous asset to fitness regimens like running and walking. Due to their repetitive nature, running and walking can lead to injuries and result in musculoskeletal imbalances. Yoga restores balance and symmetry to the body, making it a perfect complement to repetitive exercise. With a consistent yoga practice, runners and walkers alike can expect to improve their flexibility and strength, enhance their performance, and reduce the quantity and duration of injuries. How Our Online Classes Work
Each of our online series meets via the online platform Zoom, and you can attend with your computer, tablet, or smartphone. In case you're not able to attend at the scheduled time, don't worry! We'll send you the recordings of the sessions, which will be available to you indefinitely.
