Yoga for Fibromyalgia
Greetings from India!
I'm into week 2 of my trip and from what I hear everything is great back home at TYR (minus the rain!).
Coming up next weekend at the studio Vanessa will be back to offer her excellent Yoga for Fibromyalgia workshop. You might remember Vanessa was a teacher at TYR for a couple of years before she moved away to San Antonio.
Vanessa herself has been living with Fibromyalgia, Lupus, and Rheumatoid Arthritis for years. She uses her yoga practice to help manage pain, fatigue, trouble sleeping, and other symptoms related to her conditions.
When I spoke to Vanessa recently she said, "My favorite thing about this workshop is seeing people leave more confident and empowered and how that carries into their everyday lives. If anyone is shy or thinks their fibro symptoms are too much too handle, I encourage them to come because it's an open and no judgment atmosphere where we're figuring it out together!"
If you know someone who is living with Fibromyalgia, please forward this newsletter to them. Yoga really can help! Here's the link if you'd like to sign up for the workshop.
And here's a video Emily and I put together about Yoga for Fibro last year:
India Update I'm having lots of adventures in India. Just today I wore a saree for the first time, saw an elephant, and attended a wedding!
I'm posting photos and stories on my personal Facebook page, so please feel welcome to send me a friend request if you'd like to see those. I'm also posting about my daily practice on Instagram and Facebook, so follow/like us there to see those updates.
Tomorrow we're leaving for a couple of days in Bangalore to visit family, then 5 days in Chennai so that I can study at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram.
I hope you're doing great!
All my best, Zelinda
