TEGHAN

Teghan's first introduction to yoga came through MTV Yoga DVDs in her high school dance classes—practicing poses to the soothing sounds of Britney Spears. Fortunately, she was introduced to a more traditional practice while attending San José State University, where she regularly enrolled in yoga classes. She quickly discovered that yoga not only improved her flexibility and relieved the soreness of long dance rehearsals but also brought a sense of calm and balance through the academic and social demands of college life.

After returning to Texas and becoming pregnant with her first child, Teghan found support through community yoga classes at the Pflugerville Recreation Center as she navigated the transition to parenthood while working alongside her parents in the family business. Following the birth of her second child, she was introduced by her midwives to another young mother (Hi Tami!) who invited her to Round Rock Yoga's “Yoga on the Plaza” classes. After experiencing classes with Zelinda and Angela, she knew she had found her yoga home.

In 2020, during the uncertainty of the pandemic and while serving as a surrogate during her fourth pregnancy, Teghan completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Round Rock Yoga under the guidance of Zelinda and an incredible community of teachers and fellow trainees. Moving through teacher training during such an extraordinary season reinforced what she had experienced throughout her life: yoga has a remarkable ability to reconnect the body, quiet the mind, and help us find steadiness in the midst of change.

Today, Teghan is the CEO and owner of Wild About Music, Inc., the company behind several iconic Austin businesses, including Toy Joy, Wild About Music, Yummi Joy, and Akiba Texas. While her professional life is fast-paced, her yoga practice continues to be a place of grounding, presence, and joy.

Teghan is honored to share her practice with the Round Rock Yoga community and hopes to create classes where students feel welcomed, supported, and encouraged to reconnect with themselves—finding a little more calm, intention, and ease both on and off the mat.
