Strengthening your core muscles has many benefits, including reduction in back pain, improved stability and balance, and injury prevention. Core strength is vital to good posture and to efficient everyday movement; lifting, twisting, bending, and standing all rely on core muscles. A strong core can improve your overall feeling of wellness, whether on the yoga mat or in your daily life.
In this online series with Senior Instructor, Angela Richter-Gronross, you'll learn which muscles comprise the core and how to strengthen them through yoga. You’ll train the muscles in your abdomen, lower back, pelvis, and hips to work in harmony.
The 4-week series is offered weekly on Wednesdays, June 16 through July 7 from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. CST (GMT-5). In case you're not able to attend at the scheduled time, we'll send you the recordings of the sessions, which will be available to you indefinitely.
