Hips, Knees, Ankles, Feet!

Many issues found in the lower half of the body, from the hips down to the soles of the feet, can be addressed by making small lifestyle changes that you might never have imagined could help.

Did you know that

  • how you sleep could be contributing to your hip pain?
  • your knee pain might be decreased by using a foam roller?
  • pain in your feet might actually have its origin in your lower leg and that a few key yoga poses and some work with a ball could significantly decrease your pain?

Our Therapeutic Series has been designed to teach you a tool box full of practices, ranging from yoga poses, to self-massage techniques, to better ergonomics.

We’ve found that this multi-pronged approach successfully helps manage, mitigate, and possibly even resolve pain, so you can get back to your regular daily life.

Join us for our 4 week Hips, Knees, Ankles, and Feet Series starting Tuesday, April 4, at 11:45 a.m. Click here for details and to register.

If this schedule doesn’t work for you, no problem! I can teach you the content in a Private Session or two. Email us and we’ll find a time that works for you.

We hope to see you soon!

Are You Tired Of Feeling Blah?

One of my teachers in India said that yoga practice is to a person what a maintenance contract is to a car. I think this is exactly right. In order to keep ourselves healthy and running well, we have to do a little maintenance every day. (Or else one fine day you'll be driving your kids to school and your timing belt will break, wreaking havoc on both your schedule and your bank account, but that's a story for another day.)

A consistent yoga practice really does create life-changing benefit, and I'm not talking about just sculpting and toning your muscles. I'm talking about pervasive wellness, including reduction of aches and pains, healthy stress-management, feelings of contentment, restfulness, and ease, as well as obvious improvement in mental focus, mental clarity, and productivity.

Those benefits sound almost too good to be true, right? Well, the benefits are real, BUT there's a catch. Yoga isn't a get rich quick scheme. In order to realize these kinds of benefits, the yoga practice needs to be consistent, as in every day. Or almost every day. It takes work and discipline to develop a consistent yoga practice, and that's exactly what the 40 Day Challenge is about.

The 40 Day Challenge kicks off on Sunday, April 2, and it's the perfect time to put in the work to develop your consistent yoga practice. We're here to support you and help keep you motivated. Challenge yourself to attend 30 practices in 40 days (either in the studio or at home) to develop your new healthy habit and start feeling really great.

Click here to read all about the 40 Day Challenge.

One important thing to note is that this year we're including a home practice option for those days when you're really busy and it seems impossible to get to a class. We want to knock down all the potential barriers to increase your potential for success.

Please let us know if you have any questions!

All my best,
Zelinda
