It’s pretty incredible how yoga can help you feel well and strong and young, year after year. I’ve been practicing yoga since 1999. Life is busy, and I haven’t always been as consistent as I’d like, but a little bit of yoga is better than no yoga, and a little bit of yoga over the span of years and decades can have a significant beneficial effect on one’s health and wellness. If you need some motivation to practice yoga more consistently, I encourage you to check out my Yoga with Zelinda Membership. Every month you get a calendar of pre-planned yoga practices, a warm community of yoga friends from around the world, and support and encouragement to keep you going. Find more details under the Yoga - Yoga with Zelinda tab. See you inside. ❤️

P.S. I typically shy away from posting photos like these because they might appear to be in conflict with my philosophy of teaching, which is yoga that is customizable for people with all kinds of bodies. I chose to share these particular photos because they illustrate how consistent yoga practice can help keep you healthy and strong. Not everyone can or will want to practice a handstand or headstand, but everybody CAN practice yoga. 😉

hi, friends!

Hello! Time for an intro for all the folks who are new here. 😃 Welcome! I’m Zelinda and I teach yoga that is accessible for people with all kinds of bodies. Yoga is so often portrayed as an exercise or activity for people who have young, thin, flexible bodies, and that kinda makes me mad! This might come as a surprise, but the real purpose of yoga is to help us calm and quiet our minds. So why do we do yoga poses? Well, we can understand our bodies more easily than we can understand our minds, so we use the body as a tool to help us learn how to become mindful, which in turn calms the mind. I get that this may not immediately make sense; it’s one of those things you have to experience in order to understand well. If you’re interested in practicing yoga with your ordinary body to calm your mind, you can find a free 7-day beginners challenge on our YouTube channel or join us for a Zoom class and please message me with any questions. And if you already practice with me/us, I’d love to hear about your favorite benefit that you’ve gained from your practice. ❤️
