Just about everyone has experienced back pain at least once in their life. For some of us, it’s a temporary issue due to a muscular strain, but for others, back pain is chronic.
If you have occasional back pain due to muscle strain, regular yoga practice is great for building strength and flexibility to reduce the frequency of pain. You can even do a short practice at home every day to help keep pain at bay. Here’s a quick and well-rounded little video for low back pain that I put together a few years ago.
But if you have chronic back pain, a more specialized approach can be really beneficial, and you might want to look into our new Therapeutic Series focused on Back and Spine Health that we’ll be offering in September.
This 4 week series is limited to 10 participants so that we can customize the practice to each individual. Depending on the root of each person’s back or spine issue, which might be anything from a herniated disc to scoliosis to degenerative disc disease, the practice will be tailored to optimize results.
This Therapeutic Series will be led by Emily, who is a trained Yoga Therapist. Emily has a really impressive background including over 2500 hours of yoga training and nearly 4000 hours teaching, plus she’s a licensed massage therapist.
If you or someone you know might be interested in attending this series, please click here for details. And if you’re interested in the series but the schedule doesn’t work for you, please shoot me a note and we can discuss alternate dates.
All my best,
