Can Yoga Help Your Back Pain?

Did you know that back pain is one of the most common medical problems, affecting 8 out of 10 people at some point in their lives? When you experience back pain, it can affect the quality of your daily life, limiting your ability to be active, to sleep well, or even to go to work. For many, it can affect mental health as well, leading to anxiety or depression.

The good news is, you can take measures to prevent or relieve most back pain, and yoga can help! It's important to know, however, that there's not one magical kind of yoga that can help all the different kinds of back pain.

With this in mind, Zelinda is sharing a series of videos about yoga and back pain on our social media channels throughout the month of May. She'll explain the different issues that you may have going on with your back or with your spine as well as how to practice in a way that's safe and beneficial for your body.

There are more great videos coming throughout the month! Stay tuned to our FacebookInstagram, or YouTube channels to watch upcoming videos, including topics like Scoliosis, Spinal Fusion, Arthritis, Sciatica, and more.

If there's one commonality between the different types of back pain, it's that a consistent yoga practice - tailored to your specific needs and your unique body - is essential to reducing your pain.

If you feel ready, sign up for a class on our Class Schedule and begin to build your consistent practice! If you're unsure which class would be a good fit for you, take our Getting Started Quiz, and we'll give you some guidance.

We hope to see you in our live classes soon!

Be well,
